SLRS
Swiss Lighting Recycling Foundation (SLRS) has been founded in 2005 by the Swiss Lighting Association in order to set up a system for the disposal of lamps and luminaries.
From
the beginning, SLRS has been closely cooperating with SENS
for all technical and
logistical aspects of the disposal process. SLRS is focusing on the financing
aspects (amount of ARF, cost of the disposal) and on representing the interests
of manufacturers and importers. SLRS is managed by a board and two commissions
consisting of representatives of manufacturers, importers and big retailers. All
of the major importers of lamps (there are no manufacturers of lamps in
Switzerland) and almost all of the
major manufacturers and importers of luminaries are participating in the SLRS
system.
