History
A specific legal framework for e-waste management was introduced into Switzerland in 1998, when the 'Ordinance on the Return, the taking back and the Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment' (ORDEE) came into force. However, the first attempts at having an organised system for managing e-waste were started voluntarily.
